Veteran R&B Group Allure Returns To The Music Scene And Announces New Music Project, Reality Show and More!
New York, NY July 18, 2011- Alia Davis, Lalisha McClean and Akissa Mendez are famously known for their hits "Head Over Heels" and "All Cried Out" from their self titled debut album released in 1997. After being released from Mariah Carey’s label Crave Records in 2000, Allure went on to sign with two other labels, including Tru Warrier Records (Ron Artest label) and released two more albums by 2005.
Allure reemerged onto the music scene in October 2010 with a live performance at the red carpet launch of Women Of Strength, a non-profit organization founded by Tashera Simmons. Since that time Allure has officially announced that the group is still together and are excited about their new projects and ventures. The ladies have been working diligently in the studio recording music for their new album (title TBA), and have recruited the help of legendary heavy hitters Pete Rock and Kwame, who will join the production team.
Eager to return to their fans old and new, and to reinvent the Allure BRAND, the girls recently teamed up with power couple Ice T & Coco to record the song “Shoe Freak.” The record had its debut on their new reality show “Ice T Loves CoCo” which premiered on E! June 12th. Allure also recorded two songs with the J.U.S. Evolution for the NBC reality show “Great American Health Challenge” and will perform LIVE on July 20, 2011 at Taj Lounge for the shows wrap up event.
With a hot, new single out called “Proud To Be” produced by The Council, Allure is preparing for an Australian Tour which kicks off on July 26th and will run through August 1st. While in Australia, Allure will begin filming the pilot for their upcoming reality show entitled “Allure: Still Together”, that will document the ladies journey as they record and promote their forth and highly anticipated album. The seasoned and dynamic trio is poised and ready to once again take the music world by storm!
