It's really hard to believe that we are approaching 2010 since it feels like we just celebrated 2000! Over the last 10 years HIP HOP has gone through it's ups and downs. We welcomed in a fresh group of new "talent" and said goodbye to some of our LEGENDS. Regardless as to how you feel about the quality of music that came out during these last 10 yeatrs , you can't deny that HIP HOP has crossed thresholds that we would of never imagined 30 years ago.The culture is still relevant and shows no sign of slowing down. This blog does not focus on a lot of the new 'artists" or new music of today. Our thing is to preserve the essence of the culture. There are plenty of other blogs dedicated to the Lil Wayne's and Souljah Boy's and they have there place. 238BEATS mission is to make sure that the pioneers who paved the way for us are NEVER forgotten and have a place on the internet that pays them the homage and respect they are due.
