Huge loss for the Hip Hop community. Chris and The Violators held down legendary NYC clubs and crews like BDP & The Jungle Brothers in the mid 80's & early 90's. He expanded The Violators to Violator Management and Violator Records. He guided the careers of Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, NORE, Mariah Carey and many more. So sad that his legacy ends this way. Please do not pass judgement on this man as no one but him has walked in his shoes. Keep his children and family in your prayers. #RIPCHRISLIGHTY.
