" “When I heard Red Alert on 98.7 Kiss [FM], and Marley Marl on 107.5 FM [WBLS], that blew me away. I was listening to Red Alert and how he used to scratch, and I said, ‘Damn, I wanna be a DJ.’ And Marley Marl was a DJ and a producer, and he used to always play Juice Crew and new music like that. And that inspired me and amped me up to want to be a DJ, and go out there and turn the turntables into an instrument." Ron G
